The Fine set of Perma-Grit's abrasive tools cut, sand and shape in any direction. They outlast sandpaper thousands of times and can be used to finish all the materials, listed below and more. If you are unable to cut or shape something, try Perma-Grit's range of abrasives, you will be amazed. Simple tools to use, tough and will give far better results.
FINE grit is approx. equivalent to UK 320 / US 120 sandpaper.
Angle File
Angle or Tangent hand file FINE. Excellent anywhere there is a 90° angle needed. The R-201 is approximately 75°, which gives the builder the accuracy needed to shape a 90° angle. Either an 1/8th radius or a sharp corner can be produced simply by rotating the tool. Model builders find this particularly useful for fabricating servo trays, it is also good for cleaning corners and edges on laser cut wood.
Hand File Flat
Flat hand file. Dims. 230 x 38mm thick 1.55mm. Useful to get into narrow places where the sanding block is unable to fit. Use to clean up slots, cut outs in former's and general sanding. They may not be perfectly flat, they don’t need to be, use the Perma-Grit sanding blocks which are.
