Bonded Bronze (ColdCast) Ratios

Resin (Polyurethane resin, Epoxy resin, Polyester resin)

For best results: Allow 24 hours cure time past the specific resins demold time before burnishing.

 

AquaResin

*Note: 600 parts of metal powder is a starting point. You can add more metal powder than 600 parts as long as the mix remains liquid enough to brush into your mold.
  • It is necessary to add 0.5 to 1.0 parts of XLR-8 to the mix in order to facilitate curing.
For best results: Allow 48 hours cure time after demolding before burnishing.

Winterstone Icing

  • Then mix 100 parts dry Icing/Bronze mixture + 30 parts water; by volume.
Note: the amount of water may vary slightly with the actual metal to Icing ratio and the kind of metal powder used (Bronze, Brass, Copper etc.) Add just enough water to make the mix "brushable".
For best results: Allow 3 days cure time after demolding before burnishing.
