#281 Thinner is a regular speed lacquer thinner. Use when the ambient temperature is 50°F to 65°F. Thin Pemalac Original, EF 20% when spraying. No thinner will be needed for brushing unless you notice brush strokes or irregularities.

Recommended Uses:
When applying Permalac on steel or aluminum, first clean the metal with #281 or acetone. Apply
one coat of Permalac at a 1:1 ratio with #281. Allow this coat to dry for 20 minutes. Apply 2-3
#281 Standard Cold/Hot Thinner
more coats of Permalac, thinning each one 4:1 with #281 and allowing at least 15 minutes
between each coat.
When applying on brass or bronze, apply three coats at a 4:1 ratio with #281.
