This creamy white soapstone is soft and milky. These stones have tones of pink and green swirling within them.

Soapstone (also known as steatite, or soaprock) is a talc-schist mix, which is a type of metamorphic rock. The reason it is called soapstone is because of its amazing soapy feel... 

It is largely composed of the mineral talc and is thus rich in magnesium. All of our soapstone is aesbestos free.
It has been a medium for carving for thousands of years around the world. We import these stones from many different countries. Shapes, sizes and weights vary.
