Chavant™ Y2 Klay™ Sulfur-Free Industrial Styling clay is primarily used by Product Designers & Modelers for the creation of automotive, marine, aerospace and consumer product models. Artists occasionally use these clays for high detail artwork, when a firmer clay body is desired or if they want to incorporate various shapes normally seen in transportation design into the sculpture.

Y2 Klay™ is normally applied to an armature at its softening temperature then refined further at room temperature after clay has cooled. Y2 Klay™ has excellent adhesion & cohesion properties & can be applied in layers that bond easily to themselves.
Industrial clay tools are often used to smooth out the clay surface and make it uniform. Due to of the hard nature Y2 Klay™ the clay can be polished to a high sheen.

Hygiene
Wash hands with soap and water after use. Clay can be cleaned from tools and surfaces with naptha or 99% Isopropyl alcohol. Clay can mechanically bond to fabrics and stain clothing.
Handling Tips
Y2 Klay™ is warmed to a temperature of 140°F/60°C to soften it. When returning to room temperature the clay also returns to the initial firmness. The Use Of Heat Resistant Gloves Is Recommended When Handling High Temperature Clays.
