These birch wood carving mallets are designed for light to medium wood carving. The handles fit well in your grip and are completely wax-coated to deter possible checking.

MM8 - This imported well-balanced one-piece mini mallet, weighing just 4 ounces, is designed to use with small to medium clay modeling, stone carving and wood carving tools. Soft gentle percussion strokes with this mallet will deliver fine detailing lines and delicate shaving results.

Crafted from Acacia Wood, an extra hard, durable wood which is water-resistant.

The mallet's head is wax-coated to prevent possible checking.

Great little tapping mallet for your lighter detail or chip style work. 6-7 ounce, overall length 7"+ and 2" diameter. These have a light layer of wax over the bell of the mallet which aided in the drying process to prevent checking.
