Shields Up is an easy to use, single component anti-graffiti coating. It is a non-hazardous, water based solution with no odor. Shields Up produces a strong, high performance, weather resistant, protective finish for all metals, rigid plastics, concrete, and wood. Use Shields Up to protect these surfaces from abrasions, hydrolysis, oxidative discolorations, impacts, solvents, and stains. Once fully cured, Shields Up will protect from graffiti and marker damage.
Optimum film properties can be achieved at room temperature. Approximately 90% of the cross-linking occurs in the first 24 hours. Shields Up needs to cure for at least 5 days before graffiti can be effectively removed from the coated surface.
Sculpt Nouveau Graffiti Remover is recommended to remove graffiti or marker vandalism from a surface protected with Shields Up.
Typical surfaces for Shields Up include interior and exterior bronze, brass, and copper surfaces, lighting fixtures, marine hardware, steel, wood, architectural trim and hardware, terra cotta, brick, and concrete floors and walls.
Shields Up may be applied with a high quality brush or HVLP sprayer at 20-50psi.
Sculpt Nouveau Shields Up is available in 16oz., 32oz., 1 gal., and 5 gal. sizes as well as 12oz. spray cans. One gallon of Shields Up generally covers 250 sq. ft. per coat. Two coats are recommended.
