Paraffin is derived from petroleum. It is relatively brittle and will flake when used alone for batik; therefore, it is commonly mixed with Microcrystalline Wax. It can also be used for cleaning brushes in encaustic. It comes in easy-to-measure pellets.
Use in a well-ventilated area. Melting point: 127-135°F/52.8-57.2°C.
