This Lignum Vitae mallet has perfect size and heft for the most vigorous carving. At ~1lb., it packs plenty of punch, and the single piece construction keeps the swing strong and easily controlled for direct or oblique driving blows. Its traditional hard, dense lignum vitae should last a lifetime (yours or its - which ever comes first!).
