FuseFX Smoothie Concentrate is a non-inhibiting, water-based spray-on lubricant for smoothing out wet silicone surfaces. Smoothie repels silicone, without dissolving it like alcohol or solvent do, making it ideal for repairing silicone seams, shaping the final layer of a silicone mold, or smoothing and sculpting the silicone skin of a foam form.

Simply spray
Smoothie over wet, thickened silicone and shape with tools as usual to desired form. You can also dip or spray your tools for additional lubricating. Let the silicone cure then wash the Smoothie with warm water before adding more fresh silicone if needed. Smoothie MUST be washed off between silicone coats.

Smoothie comes in a concentrate and MUST be mixed with hot water before use. Both the 70g and 500g Smoothie kits come with a measuring cup, spray bottle attachment, and full instructions for use.

A non-inhibiting water based spray-on lubricant for smoothing out wet Silicone surfaces.
Smoothie is packaged in a concentrated formula to give the product a longer shelf life and must be diluted
with HOT water.
Mixed Smoothie should be used within a few weeks.
There is already 10 grams of Smoothie Concentrate in the AMBER BOTTLE itself ready to be mixed.
Mixing and preparing Smoothie Concentrate:
Use Vinyl or Nitrile gloves and eye protection when working with Smoothie.
Open Smoothie bottle then slowly and carefully add 60 grams (2oz) of VERY HOT water, distilled water works
best.
Replace the cap and tighten. Slowly shake the bottle for a few minutes mixing the Smoothie and hot water.
Carefully loosen cap and let cool to room temperature.
Once cooled, tighten the cap and give it a light shake to get all the solids mixed. Remove the cap and screw on
the pump spray, the Smoothie in now ready to use.
Repairing seams in silicone:
Smoothie repels silicone and does not dissolve the silicone like alcohol or solvent does. Simply spray over wet
thickened silicone and shape with tools as usual to desired form. You can also dip or spray your tools for
additional lubricating. Let the silicone cure and wash off with warm water to add more fresh silicone if needed.
Smoothie MUST be washed off between silicone coats.
Sculpting with Smoothie:
Spray Smoothie over wet thickened slow curing silicone. Pour a small amount of Smoothie a cup to dip and
lubricate brush or tools for sculpting. Now move and sculpt the wet silicone to form desired shape, dipping tools
frequently and spraying more Smoothie over the wet silicone surface. Let cure. Wash off Smoothie with warm
water and dry. Repeat if needed.
Smoothing out the final wet coat on a silicone mold:
Build-up your silicone mold as usual until you achieve the desired thickness. While the final coat of silicone is still
wet, spray a liberal amount of Smoothie over the wet silicone and with a soft foam brush, lightly stroke the wet
silicone to create an even surface. Add more Smoothie if necessary. Let silicone cure.
Once the silicone is cured, wash off Smoothie using warm water and let dry.
For coating over soft Urethane foam or “mattress” foam:
Mix and thicken a batch of silicone. Spread a thickened coat of slow curing silicone over the foam surface to
create a thin skin and seal the foam pores. Let cure. Next, mix another batch of thickened slow curing silicone
and apply over the first layer, smoothing out as you go, something like icing a cake. Work fast before the silicone
starts to jell. While the silicone is still wet, spray a liberal amount of Smoothie over the silicone surface (use in
well ventilated area) and with a soft sponge brush, lightly stroke the silicone to form a smooth even surface. Add
more Smoothie if necessary. Let the silicone cure fully. Once the silicone is cured, wash off Smoothie using
warm water and let dry. The silicone surface is now ready for the next coat. Repeat as often as necessary.
