The Cuturi pneumatic hammer, for marble and sculpture, has always been known and appreciated all over the world so that over the years it has been the object of attempts at imitation. All the hammers and tools produced by Cuturi are certified and have the CE mark thanks to cutting-edge equipment, machines, and technologies. The most famous and infamous sculptors used it to make great works in marble.
Available in 10 sizes: The tiny ones are the P and the D, they can take 5mm shank chisels. The P can be used one-handed as it is spring loaded, and the D is the smallest of the standard air hammers.
The E, also known as the piccolo (funny, as it's not the smallest), takes 7.5mm shank chisels. These small sized hammers still pack a powerful punch!
The A, V, U, T, S, and R all accept 12.5mm shank chisels, while dramatically varying in size and power. The A is the smallest of this grouping, also known as 'la donna', and is also the lightest. The V and U are the most often chosen as they provide a range of power options. These are also the most commonly used for wood carving. The R, S, and T are larger hammers designed for roughing out and heavy stock removal - be warned they have some weight to them!
The Z takes 16mm shank chisels and is a very heavy hammer, weighing in at around 6lbs. Mostly used for large block carving and texturing, this hammer works really well with bushing tools.
