Makeup & SFX artist Ali Gordon brings his Somedevil FX Workshops back to New York for a 10 day course dedicated to a character of your choice. In this 10 day class you will create full silicone appliance and custom wearable dentures.
This class is perfect for both beginners and those with experience. We'll lead you from life-casting through the design process to sculpting and molding. Then casting your appliance in silicone, and finally - application.
Low-key and lighthearted, these workshops are the perfect opportunity for you to create movie-quality
characters and learn the art of Special Makeup Fx from industry artists.
Breakdown for the week is as follows :
•DAY 1- 4 : BASIC LIFE CASTING – FRONT OF THE FACE AND TEETH CASTING
•DAY 5 : INTRO TO DESIGN AND CONCEPT – INTRO TO SCULPTING.
•DAY 6, 7 : SCULPTING.
•DAY 8 : INTRO TO MOLD MAKING –DEMOLD AND CASTING.
•DAY 9 & 10 : PAINTING , DETAILING & APPLICATION

Please note all deposits are non refundable due to payments on orders and other costs in preparation for the workshop.We will supply all materials and airbrushes for the duration of the workshop but you will need to bring some wooden sculpting tools, art brushes, baby wipes and towels. We recommend you wear old clothes as is a messy process 🙂
