Class Objectives: A portrait of Diana
Approx. Dimensions: 3/4 life size, You will need an armature (see materials list)
Learn to “Sculpt from the Masters” as Mardie guides you to sculpt a portrait head of Diana of Versailles. We will focus on the features and how to create a successful portrait.
Class will include a weekly lecture on anatomy, history, along with drawing assignments, critiques, and demonstrations. Mardie will show you how to create a succesfful portrait from a Mastercopy — a miniature of the famed work made by you!. We will be working in time-tested water based clay (or oil clay if you choose) for easy air drying or firing at your local ceramic store. Between classes Mardie will critique your work in progress (in video format) so you are ready for the next step!
All classes video content will be recorded and available for 30 days.
