Add Poly 74/75 Part C Softener to Poly 74-Series, Poly 75-Series, Poly 77-Series & PT Flex Series polyurethane rubbers for a lower viscosity mix and softer cured rubber. The amount of Part C needed varies from product to product and should be determined through experimentation. Example: To soften Poly 74-30 Liquid Rubber (Shore A30) to a Shore A15, mix 1A:1B:1C by weight. NOTES: When Part C is used, the cure time may be longer and there could be some loss of strength in the cured rubber as well as an increased tendency to shrink after repeated casting. Add Part C to Part B prior to mixing with Part A. For additional information, read the Technical Bulletin associated with your product.

Add Poly 74/75 Part X Accelerator to Poly 74-Series, Poly 75-Series, Poly 77-Series & PT Flex Series polyurethane rubbers to accelerate pour times and demold times. Part X is most useful when making brush-on molds to decrease the time needed between coats. The amount of Part X needed varies from product to product and should be determined through experimentation.

Examples: By adding 3% Part X (by weight of the total mix) to Poly 74-30 or 74-29 Liquid Rubber, the working time is reduced to approximately 8 minutes -- in the time it takes to mix the next batch, the previous layer gels enough to apply the next coat. Demolding is possible in as little as 4 hours after the final layer is applied. By adding 1% Part X (by weight of the total mix) to Poly 75-80 Liquid Rubber, the working time is reduced to approximately 10 minutes and demolding is possible in as little as 6 hours.

NOTES: Exercise caution when using Part X for poured molds since the rapid onset of gelling may trap air bubbles on or near the surface of the master. Add Part X to Part B prior to mixing with Part A. For additional information, read the Technical Bulletin associated with your product.
