TCS Classes 200217 Sculpting Facial Features: Eye and Ear with Lori Shorin

4 Session Sculpting Class Facial Features: Eye and Ear Mondays from 1-4pm (see dates below)

In this class you will sculpt a larger than life size eye and ear in water based clay. Observing plaster casts of facial features at a larger than life
size will help you to better understand and then sculpt the subtle beauty of each form. The focus will be on sculpting a large scale eye and ear
(separately). We will either work from a copy of Michelangelo’s David features or something similar.

This is a great class if you have never sculpted before and would like to gain some confidence and technical skills before attempting to sculpt a
portrait. There will be an opportunity to either dry and fire your clay sculptures at a local ceramic studio or you can take a mold making class at
Compleat Sculptor.
