Elastack Easy Pour Molding Compound is a special synthetic rubber designed to melt and flow easily. It is highly transparent, with an optical clarity similar to acrylic or glass. Elastack was featured on the Food Network and is used by the world famous Chocolatier Jacques Torres to make chocolate molds. It can be reheated and reshaped to be used over and over again and is food safe. It's very easy to use: melt, pour, allow to cool then cast. AS A NOTE: the liquid gets very hot so what ever you put the liquid in or what ever you put in the liquid cannot have a low melting point. Heating Elastack requires no special equipment, an ordinary hot plate or stove will do. Elastack is easy to pour, paint or coat. Finally, the compound is easy to color by mixing ordinary crayons into the melt prior to casting.
Unlike typical molding materials, which chemically set and cannot be reused, Elastack Molding Compound can be melted again and again. Elastack molding compound, being ultra soft and flexible, while easy to fabricate and mold, finds a tremendous range of applications. The most obvious uses involve casting of molded elastic parts. In model work, prototype development and special effects/artistic applications, these compounds can be used to quickly cast flexible objects. It works well in the food industry in making food molds. It picks up even the most minute details and is food safe. The ultra softness of Elastack material, further enables applications to protect, seal, or cushion. The material, for example can be used to completely encapsulate and seal delicate items for shipping or storage.
